Want to Sleep Better Tonight? Forget About Tomorrow

Have you ever tossed and turned at night, unable to sleep because you can't stop thinking about all the things you have to do the next day?
I know I have.
Then someone gave me a tip for shutting off my mind: Make a list of everything you have to do and then number the tasks in order of importance. If necessary, list the action steps you have to take for each item. Make a commitment to yourself that you will do each item in order, from the most important to the least important. Next, put the list where you'll be sure to see it first thing in the morning.
Doing this can help you to relax because you know that you won't forget to do anything important -- you have the list -- and you know what you will do from start to finish. Your day is planned.
Then, go to bed. Many people have found that this technique really does help them to slow down their racing minds. And because they slept better, they had the energy to get more things done.
Try it to see if it works for you.
